I had the chance to meet Luigi Ghirri once, long ago. And ever since, one of his photographs has been hanging over my desk. I like his images a lot, as much as I'm impressed by his writing. He was one of the last real pioneers, and certainly one of the great masters of twentieth-century photography. - Wim Wenders. Luigi Ghirri is a seminal color photographer who began in the 1970s. A real spirit of adventure propelled this brilliant Italian artist to explore so many ideas well ahead of their time.
