Résumé

Did I love right et that moment ? Many people have asked me that. After all, it was a moment that, in its small way, changed so much. Developments that would alter music and change the way gay men socialized in the '70s, that would give rise to new kinds of communal celebration, integrated and without regard to race, developments that would lead to a legendary place called the Paradise Garage and the worldwide ascendancy of its famous sound, the rise of disco and house music - so much would flow from that chance meeting on a rain-soaked boardwalk between a lonely 30-something man and a smiling messenger boy. Circles of people would arise and flourish - and perish -- all within echoes of that golden morning. Michael himself would perish. But no, I cannot say I fell in love that morning. I only know that's the moment when the possibility of love began.
