Résumé

Following a series of jewelry store robberies by an armed gang wearing cat masks, Interpol sends Marie Watteau to the scene of their latest raid: Rome. But tracking down the gang is the least of her problems. First, she must rein in the local carabinieri, headed by Major Livia de Angelis, whose resentment of Interpol's interference leads to a clash of wills. But is that the only reason for de Angelis's defiance, or is she following some private agenda? In chasing down the Purple Cats, Watteau soon finds she is merely scratching the surface of a multi-layered intrigue...

À propos des auteurs

A clinical psychologist by trade, Thilde Barboni is also the author of numerous short stories and works of fiction, including nearly a dozen novels published in Belgium, France, and Switzerland, some of which have been translated into German and Korean. Beyond her fiction writing, Thilde has also tried her hand as a playwright and author of radio fiction, and teaches translation in Mons (Belgium).
Her work as a comics scriptwriter includes the third volume of the crime fiction series "Agence Interpol, " set in Rome, as well as the graphic novel "Hibakusha, " illustrated by Cinna, and most recently "DOW, " all with Dupuis (Europe Comics in English). Alessio Lapo was born in Italy in 1974. At 22, he graduated from a comics school in Milan, and got his start working on a project alongside two scriptwriters for Disney.
However, he had to interrupt his budding career to complete his military service. Upon his return, he became a contributor to publisher Sergio Bonelli, while restoring frescoes in parallel to make ends meet. In 2001, his series "Armadel" was published by the Italian newspaper "Corriere della Sera, " and following that, he was invited by French scriptwriter Laurent Bullier to collaborate on the series "Antoine Sèvres." Volumes one and two of the historical adventure series were published in 2005 and 2006 by Les Humanoïdes Associés.
Over the years, he has continued to take on new projects in the Franco-Belgian market, for publishers such as Glénat and Soleil, and in 2013 he was invited to work with author Thilde Barboni on the third volume of the crime fiction series Agence Interpol (Dupuis; "Interpol, " Europe Comics), set in Rome.
