Roberto Fabbri (b. 1972) is an architect and researcher. He graduated from the University of Florence - School of Architecture (2000) and received his PhD from the University of Bologna - Faculty of Architecture (2009). He alternates professional practice with theoretical studies. As designer he is currently a United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) consultant for the display of the Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah's (DAI) galleries and collection in Kuwait.
He previously taught Architectural Studio and Exhibition Design at the University of Bologna, and at the American University of Kuwait (AUK). His research interests focus on mid-century modem architecture in Europe and in the Middle East, lately as a visiting scholar at the Center for Gulf Studies in Kuwait. On this subjects he has participated in several international seminars and conferences, published on international magazines and recently released two books on the work of Max Bill.
Sara Saragoça Soares (b. 1975) is an architect with a Master's Degree in Preservation, Building Conservation and Urban Rehabilitation from the School of Architecture of Lisbon Technical University (FAUTL), where she developed her thesis "The Identity of Modem Heritage : Kuwait City." As an architect, during her career in Portugal she focused her practice on building preservation and adaptive re-use projects.
In 2012 she moved to Kuwait and became involved in the Al-Shaheed Park development project in Kuwait City on behalf of the Diwan Amiri. In 2014 she participated in the Biennale di Venezia, joining the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters team for the Kuwait Pavillon. Ricardo Camacho (b. 1979) holds a degree in Architecture from the Technical University of Lisbon (2002), Erasmus program at the Politecnico di Milano and Master of Architecture from Harvard GSD (2009) with a grant from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and FLAD.
As an architect, Ricardo has worked in Germany, Portugal, Angola, Mozambique, Brazil, UK, Kuwait, UAE, Bahrain and Qatar. From 2005 until 2011, Ricardo was the Principal of CasaGranturismo, and from 2011 to 2013 he was principal researcher for the Resilient Coastal Leisure Environments program at Northeastern University. Since 2009 as active architect and researcher in Kuwait he was deputy curator of Kuwait's first participation in the Venice Biennale of Architecture (2012), curator of the Conference on Kuwait Modern Architecture (2012), and coauthor of different projects in the city including the Reconversion of Kuwait City Green Belt (AI Shaheed Park phases I, II).
Ricardo is coauthor of "Habitar Portugal 2006/2009" and participant in several other publications and conferences in Europe, USA and Kuwait.
