Founded on the 13th October 2000, the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) is a non-profit making international organisation (AISBL) with its headquarters in Brussels. It comprises thirty-one national training institutions of the European Union Member States, specifically responsible for the training of the professional judiciary, as well as the European Academy of Law. Its goals are mainly to identify the training needs of the judiciary and therefore, to propose to national training institutions coordinated policies at the European level, common training activities...
Since 2005, it has its headquarters as well as an administrative team located in Brussels. More details about its activities can be found in its quaterly newsletter available on its website

À propos des auteurs

Gilles Charbonnier has been the Secretary General of the European Judicial Training Network during three years, from the 14th March 2005 to the 13th March 2008. He is a member of the French judiciary. He has previously held posts at the French Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature, at the Tribunal de Grande Instance of Paris, at the French Ministry of Justice and at the French Ministry of Employment.
Orb Sheehy is the coordinator of research and documentation at the European Judicial Training Network. She holds a Ph.D. from the European University Institute (EUI), Italy.
