Robinson Crusoe

When the captain tells Robinson: "Young man, you should never go to sea again... God has shown you that the sea is not for you." Robinson foolishly ignores his advice and goes to sea again; this time with dire consequences. Forced into slavery, he escapes and is then shipwrecked on a desert island where he manages to survive through good fortune and resourcefulness. Since it was published in 1719 Daniel Defoe's acclaimed tale has become one of the most famous adventure stories of all time. This special, illustrated adaptation also includes helpful footnotes and a variety of activities which check comprehension, help practise vocabulary and grammar, and improve speaking, writing and listening skills.
