Résumé

In ancient times, astronomers recorded and studied astronomy without the advanced technology we have today. They relied on their own observations and calculations. Even though they didn't have sophisticated tools, they were still able to make significant contributions to the field of astronomy.  Ancient astronomers used various methods to record their observations. They observed and tracked the positions and movements of celestial bodies using tools like astrolabes, which helped them measure the height and azimuth of celestial objects.  They also used simple instruments like gnomons to measure the angle of the sun or stars above the horizon. By making these observations over time, they were able to track the paths and patterns of celestial bodies. Additionally, ancient astronomers developed systems to classify and name constellations and stars.
They created star charts and celestial maps that allowed them to identify and locate specific stars and constellations. These charts were often based on cultural and mythological stories associated with the stars. Furthermore, ancient astronomers made calculations and predictions about celestial events. They developed mathematical models and formulas to understand the motions of planets and other celestial objects.
By studying the regularities and patterns in the sky, they could predict phenomena like eclipses or the positions of planets. In summary, ancient astronomers relied on their own observations, calculations, and documentation to study and record astronomy. While they didn't have the advanced technology we have today, their knowledge and understanding of the celestial world laid the foundation for the development of modern astronomy. Even in a time without advanced technology like today, it was humans who studied astronomy. If it's not a matter of tools, I believe that tasks performed by humans can always be done by humans. Ancient people did not have the advantage of observing stars with tools that could reach the stratosphere.
I will not fall into the trap of studying the tools while studying.  Even if a person born today sees the sun without knowing the word "sun" and names it "moon, " they are still observing the same thing and having the same conversation.  It is fascinating to discover the same thing expressed in different words and classify different things expressed in the same words compared to modern notation.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Christine Eve

The books writing at Euclid View include 9 series written from Christine Eve's perspective on mathematics, science, philosophy, astronomy, medicine, psychology, literature, linguistics, and physics. There are also three creative series called Time end diversity, Time Line, and Time Houl. I would love to meet each chapter as a standalone book as soon as possible!
