Volker Unglaub born on December.12.1955, in Ludwigs-hafen am Rhein -Oggersheim, started working in his father's business after completing his business studies. In 1978, he married his wife Sigrid. He devoted himself to correspon-dence chess since 1985. In 1994 he was awarded the title of International Master in correspondence chess.
