Résumé

We live our lives in a graveyard of gods. Pantheon after pantheon fades, their worship falls silent, and the blood of their sacrifices dries and flakes. Only their ghosts linger. Their half-forgotten names adorn our calendars, clothes, and sports stadiums, our cities, and the broken inscriptions on the ruins of their temples. But perhaps those fallen gods still whisper. Whisper in the hidden places of the world, and at the edge of our hearing.
In dark forests and the depths of space. In the echoes of ancient battles and the corners of greasy kebab houses. In the pages of a book... Stories & Authors: "For a Hero" by Ibrahim S. À propos des auteurs

C. A. Phillips is an author who pretends to be good. You can find him haunting the narrative. Janine Dillo pretends to write fantasy stories but mostly writes about video games instead. ANI BRANDT is a former junior journalist and cartoonist for Mitteldeutsche Zeitung and has written articles for every school publication she could get her hands on. With an extended background in professional photography, theater and pushing-deadlines-to-their-limit, formerly known as American Literature Studies, she has been wrapped up in the creative arts ever since she was old enough to realize that Sharpies do well on wallpaper.
Completely unbeknownst to the NYT bestseller list or esteemed circles of fiction writers, she has been relentlessly at work, creating a vast science-fiction universe, which she keeps rebooting every ten years or so to keep things fresh and frustrating. While she wouldn't last a day in her own novels, readers can expect an action-packed version of Friends meets Scandal. Taylor Maxwell is a biology student and writer of speculative fiction.
She lives in Ontario. W. B. Kurtzer (she/they) is a teacher, classical trumpet player, former martial artist, and avid language learner, but long before they did any of that, they were writing on whatever notebook scraps they could find. When not arguing with her students about the importance of reading, she can be found writing queer sci-fi and fantasy. TJ Skyler can be found lounging among the trees, wading in the streams, or haunting the local libraries.
They were homeschooled in the vast plains of the midwest, spending childhood years running barefoot on the farm or training in taekwondo. They could always be found carrying a backpack filled with books and notebooks alike. The notebooks were filled with sketches and starts of various stories in new settings. It wasn't until TJ's age hit the double digits that their stories began to take true shape and began having plot and substance.
Nowadays, TJ works in private security and teaches taekwondo, in which they are a fifth degree black belt. They train in various martial arts, and spend their free time writing, playing video games, learning languages, and lurking in coffee shops. R. C. has been writing non-stop since 2010 and has no intention of ever stopping. You can find them elsewhere if you look into the void. Ibrahim S.
Amin was educated at the Manchester Grammar School, the University of Newcastle, and the University of Manchester. He wallowed in education for as long as he could, earning his PhD in Classics & Ancient History. At that point he ran out of excuses and joined the real world - where he now writes to support his unhealthy takeaway addiction.
