Résumé

THE EARL AND THE HOYDEN by Mary Nichols He had called her a plain hoyden! Miss Charlotte Cartwright has never forgotten Roland Temple's contemptuous rejection of her hand in marriage. And she's not about to forgive either - even if Roland, the new Earl of Amerleigh, is now older, wiser and ten times as handsome! THE CAPTAIN'S FORBIDDEN MISS by Margaret McPhee Captain Pierre Dammartin is a man of honour, but his captive, Josephine Mallington, is the daughter of his sworn enemy.and his temptation.
She is the one woman he should hate, yet her innocence brings hope to his battle-weary heart. MISS WINBOLT AND THE FORTUNE HUNTER by Sylvia Andrew Respected spinster Miss Emily Winbolt, so cool and cynical with would-be suitors, puts her reputation at risk after tumbling into a stranger's arms. Suddenly, bleak loneliness is replaced with a wanton, exciting sense of abandon. But Emily is an heiress, and her rescuer none other than Sir William Ashenden, a man who needs to marry. CAPTAIN FAWLEY'S INNOCENT BRIDE by Annie Burrows Battle-scarred Captain Robert Fawley was under no illusion that women still found him attractive.
None would agree to marry him - except, perhaps, Miss Deborah Gillies, a woman so down on her luck that a convenient marriage might help improve her circumstances.

À propos des auteurs

Mary Nichols is the author of various articles, short stories, family sagas and well over thirty Mills & Boon historicals. She was also a member of the Romantic Novelists Association. Mary spent part of every day at her computer producing her novels and divided the rest of her time between reading, research, gardening, playing golf and, when it became necessary, housework! Mary passed away in Feb 2016 having written well over 100 books. Margaret McPhee trained as a scientist, but was always a romantic at heart.
She wrote two manuscripts and suffered numerous rejections from publishers and agents before joining the Romantic Novelists Association. A further two manuscripts later and with help from RNAs new writers' scheme, her first regency romance was born. Margaret enjoys cycling, tea and cakes and loves exploring the beautiful scenery and wildlife of the islands of Scotland with her husband. Like every writer she has ever met, Sylvia Andrew is a great reader.
Her preference in fiction is for thrillers and historical romances, though she is ready to read anything if desperate. However, one benefit of writing seriously is that she no longer haunts the library looking for something new to read - she is usually too busy plotting her own! Sylvia and her husband live in Maidenhead with two delightful pets, and visit their small house in Normandy whenever they can. Annie Burrows love of stories meant that when she was old enough to go to university, she chose English literature.
She wasn't sure what she wanted to do beyond that, but one day, she began to wonder if all those daydreams that kept her mind occupied whilst carrying out mundane chores, would provide similar pleasure to other women. She was right. and Annie hasn't looked back since. Readers can sign up to Annie's newsletter at www.annie-burrows.co.uk
