Building a perfect body takes hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Especially if that body isn't yours. The Black Friars are real! And one of them is dogging Shane's footsteps as he and his friends head south in their search for Talia. To escape the dangers of the wilderness, the group takes refuge in the idyllic little town of Bludorf, where it appears all are welcome. Even Fregold, the elf-lord who has rejoined their party, doesn't draw undue attention. Everything about Bludorf is wonderful, including the mysterious Baron's "creations, " who flawlessly perform menial tasks.
Then again, there is something off about them.
