Sylvester Chacon and his attorney Mike Granger rose from their seats. It had been six months since Deputy Mueller, from the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department had put a bullet hole through Sylvester's' left shoulder. He was lucky he had survived the incident. His best friend Gabriel's dog Bowser had saved his live by running a quick, short lap, otherwise known as a "Zoomie", around the deputy causing him to fall backwards and miss Sylvester's heart by six inches. He knew that he probably needed a girlfriend, but he just didn't feel ready to settle down just yet.
The timing wasn't quite right yet. He'd know when he'd met the right woman, Gabe had. Lydia had literally walked into his life. But even if the right woman entered his life at the right moment, would he be able to love her the way she deserved to be loved?
