Résumé

Now that Amy has committed suicide just five days before Christmas she is hoping to rest in peace. She hadn't bargained for what actually awaits her on the other side and asks herself amongst many endless questions, 'what does one do and where does one turn to when one despairs in the after-life?' Does it depend entirely on her as to how long she would have to be in this state of watching and waiting, or will others have the power to hasten or delay her release - those still in the physical realm? Her biggest challenge is to face herself and forgive herself.
But has she got what it takes? This book is an inspirational story for anybody dealing with grief and loss of a parent, family member or loved one.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Mary Mallia

Born to Maltese immigrants in Australia in the 1960's, Mary sailed back to Malta after her fourth birthday with her parents, leaving her grandparents behind. The abundant joy of both families reuniting was in stark contrast to the bad turn that Mary's mother mental health had taken over those years. Mary cared for her mentally ill mother till her bitter end on the 20th December 1993. It had been a harrowing journey, yet one shrouded in unconditional love transcending time and space, giving Mary a deep insight into the human condition.
This is depicted in Mary's latest publication https://books2read.com/b/4EJ6QO - Liberation at Last by Mary Mallia in December 2023, an epub commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of her mother's passing after having taken her own life. In 2017 whilst visiting family in Malta, Mary started writing poetry. The poetry written and published so far has stemmed from a lifetime of soul-searching, reflecting deep spiritual experiences and self-reflection spanning decades.
Mary explores themes like the meaning of life, death, suffering, injustice, abuse, light, dark, healing, empowerment and enlightenment all thrown into one. She currently lives in South Oxfordshire where she enjoys walks in the luscious countryside and a living-room with a river view which has inspired a lot of her poetry. Writing is her passion and has been since her teens, but she also enjoys dancing, yoga, meditating, cooking, baking, entertaining and socialising.
Mary is also a British Wheel of Yoga trained Yoga practitioner and teacher, as well as a healer and a spiritual guide.
