Eighteen-year-old Franca has left Rome after her mother's death to live with her aunt and uncle in Carbonia, on the island of Sardinia. Thanks to a local boy named Silvio, she discovers the world of motorcycles... and it's a revelation. So instead of saving her inheritance for college, she uses it to buy a motorbike. Not only that, but she also decides to compete in the regional race that takes place at the track in town.
Things won't go quite as planned...
