The Australian Pain Society was formed in 1979 as the Australian Chapter of the International Association for the Study of Pain. It is a not-for-profit charitable organisation and is directed by an elected honorary board. The Australian Pain Society is a multidisciplinary association whose mission is to advance pain prevention, management and clinical practice. Our vision is that all people will have optimal access to pain prevention and management throughout their life.
