Résumé

Joshua quit law school to go fight the Nazis in Europe. He was awarded the Purple Heart after he and his buddy were victims of a landmine. No medal on Earth, however, can assuage the trauma of being unable to save your brother-in-arms. Back home in the States, Joshua tries to make up for lost time, with one romantic conquest after another. Working as a private eye in New York, he's been assigned to a blackmail case that leads him to a world of love nests, Nazi thugs, stolen art, and a whole slew of other dirty deeds.
The fighting in Europe may be finished, but for those who survived, the war continues to fester at the core of the Big Apple.

À propos des auteurs

Just like his brothers Marc-Renier and Roland, Eric Warnauts set a course for comics at an early age. His first full-length work, "Passion Vinyle, " was published by Futuropolis, and following two more graphic novels with independent publishers, he met Guy Raives, with whom he would go on to make a formidable duo. They first created "Paris perdu" (Editions du miroir), before joining up with Casterman.
There they would push their collaboration to new heights, creating a series of impressive graphic novels, including the long-running "Suites Vénitiennes." Their recent work includes "Sous les paves" (Le Lombard), and the thriller "Purple Heart" (Le Lombard; Europe Comics in English). Guy Servais, better known as "Raives, " got his start as an artist in Liège (Belgium), at the fine arts academy.
And it was there that he would meet Eric Warnauts, with whom he would go on to form a durable and prolific duo. Over the course of their numerous collaborations, the two friends and partners developed a fine-tuned creative process that many authors would envy. Warnauts took care of the script, and Raives the colors, and in-between, they worked together to bring their books' pages to brilliant life.
They soon began to contribute to the comics monthly "À suivre" and went on to create a number of impressive graphic novels for publisher Casterman, set in various periods and places around the world, from Belgium to America and the Antilles. Their recent work includes "Sous les paves" (Le Lombard), and the thriller "Purple Heart" (Le Lombard; Europe Comics in English).
