It's a detailed and in depth guide for exploring some of the most compelling nooks and wonders of the onetime 'Lost Continent'. Expressly created for non touristic travelers who like to 'stretch a buck', the compilation runs 255 pages, 36000 words and 239 photos. The focus is on the west and south of the austral mainland, with particular exploration of Argentina and Uruguay. Colombia, Ecuador and Chile are also covered extensively, and special scrutiny was paid to budget accomodations, resulting in the chapter  'Hall of Fame Hostels'.
All information is current and was gathered first hand with hiking boots on the ground. Many of the featured settings are way off the sightseer circuit and virtually unknown outside of their country's borders. My goal was to share vital particulars with other wanderers, and help make the most of the available time, money and energy.
