À propos des auteurs

Being born of mixed Malaysian-Japanese parentage, Emi Yamazaki spent her entire life living on islands - Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, England, and now Penang. Her career has been equally diverse after graduating from the London School of Economics, having worked in public relations in London, conference management, at an international hotel chain, corporate and investment banking in Hong Kong, as well as publishing in Hong Kong and Malaysia.
She 'retired' at 30, after making some lucrative property investments and is currently active in community, cultural and educational circles in Penang. Datin Josephine Yoong is a qualified accountant, business owner and loving mother of 2 adult children and 1 teenager. She grew up in KL and is married to a cardiologist from Sabah; they have made the beautiful island of Penang their home for the past 24 years.
She graduated from the University of Melbourne, did her CPA while working in KPMG and completed her MBA with University of Hull by the age of 24. She loves travelling with the family, food exploration and all matters related to faith. She believes in raising up a generation of future leaders who will do what is right (the topic of her TEDx talk), centred around the children's book she authored, 'Timmy Tapir Learns to Do What's Right!'. Krista Goon is the co-owner of Redbox Studio with 24 years of experience in copywriting and marketing.
She helps business owners leverage their websites for greater visibility, credibility and profitability. Besides consulting, teaching and speaking, she is the co-author of 'Web Wisdom', a book about websites for strategic marketing. Community-wise, she co-founded WomenBizSENSE with Josephine Yoong in 2006 and to date, it is still one of Penang's most active women entrepreneur associations. In 2019, Krista applied for and was awarded a full scholarship by the US-based East-West Center to participate in a two-week leadership programme for Asia Pacific women leaders in Hawaii.
As a result of the programme, she launched her Womenpreneur Asia podcast in December 2020 as a platform to share heartfelt stories of women entrepreneurs across Asia.
