Reflexive sociology was a current that emerged in the United States and that changed sociological thought as a whole in a short time, something that is usually strange in the country where it was produced, where the academy tends to have conservative positions that do not lend themselves to change fast and abrupt.
In Argentina, reflexive sociology had a great influence and merged with some sociological currents produced locally in the sixties and seventies that were very productive in terms of new ideas.
