Los Angeles 1955 . Murder, gangsters, boxing, and romance. Somebody's icing gangster Mickey Cohen's night watchmen, and Detective DeLuca is embroiled in solving the murders. His only suspects: an eighteen-year-old heavy-weight boxer and his goddess of a sister. A loser at love, DeLuca, falls for the dame anyway. Twenty-two-year-old Helene Dominic has sworn off men, the cause of all the misery in her young life.
Faced with the passionate challenge the handsome detective stirs within her, she must either step into the ring or forfeit the bout. When the murderers terrorize boxers at her uncle's gym, Helene butts into DeLuca's investigation. Can DeLuca outfox the thugs and confess his love before he or Helene suffers a fatal knockout?
