Channing Mercer had wanted to get out of his small town and see the world. His parents had warned him about people taking advantage of him, but he didn't listen. Four years later-thanks in part to his being a seahorse shifter-he was pregnant and alone. Even his parents slammed the door in his face for getting into this situation. But to add icing to his already fucked up life, human soldiers rolled into town, kidnapping the shifters who lived there. Could things get any worse? His frustration was at an all-time high as he swam the oceans for any sign of the little seahorse shifter. Talk about looking for a needle in a haystack. Yet nothing would stop him from combing every inch of the world to find him. If only finding each other was all it took to find their happily ever after. Considering all they'd been through, it shouldn't have come as a surprise that it would not be easy. Then again, with the danger that surrounded them as the human hunters continued to come after them, nothing seemed to go smoothly. Now that they'd found each other, even claimed each other, was it possible to walk away from each other? Did either of them even want to? But fear can make anyone irrational. Then again, so can love.
