Résumé

London, 1895. A heinous crime takes place at Baldomore Castle. A monstrous assassin slays the respected Lord Velton with exquisite cruelty. Soon other members of London's elite meet the same cruel fate. Visiting Scotland Yard to learn modern Western crime-fighting techniques in the big cities is Detective Teiko Shimura of the Tokyo Police. He is invited to give his opinion about the crime and his perspicacity and openness to thinking about the fantastic and the impossible builds a line of investigation that discovers a fine line between the wonderful and the real.
In this FIRST ADVENTURE of the Japanese detective in London, he founds a special team, 'The Four Bold', a team that will watch over and protect London against the malevolent and the supernatural.
