Written in Scottish rhyme, the story of children who meet in the local woodlands to play. They come across a Mouse in distress and help him evade the attention of a greedy Fox. The book encourages outdoor play, promoting empathy for other living creatures while highlighting the danger wildlife face. The children use their problem-solving skills to help the Mouse repair his house but ultimately have to offer him a new home.
