À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Michele Majors

Michele Majors is a writer, poet, and author of the fiction collection The Bond.  Her love for writing began at an early age, and her parents encouraged and nurtured this interest. As a child and teen, she loved creating and sharing stories with her siblings and friends. As a child, she often played television reporter and interviewed her friends. In college, she channeled that writing interest to pursue a journalism career.
She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of North Texas, and a master's degree in humanities from The University of Texas at Dallas. Later in her career, she earned a master's of business administration from Concordia University-Portland. She has worked as a news reporter, magazine managing editor, and a communications director. After she covered her work assignments during the day or special events and meetings at night, she spent her free time writing fiction and poetry.
She was one of six finalists for the Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Award in 2002. Her fiction, poetry, and op-eds have appeared in The Centrifugal Eye, KenteCloth: Southwest Voices of the African Diaspora, KenteCloth: African American Voices in Texas, New Texas'94, and The Dallas Morning News.  When she is not writing, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog. She is the author of Revolution, a collection of poetry.
