Novy Kapadia, a well-known sports journalist and columnist, is India's leading football expert and commentator. Since 1980, he has covered several tournaments including the FIFA World Cup, the Hockey World Cup, Champions Trophy games, European Football Championships, the Olympics, the Commonwealth Games, the Asian Games and all major national football tournaments. He also taught at SGTB Khalsa College (Department of English), University of Delhi.
His articles have appeared in The Telegraph, Sportsworld, IANS, sportskeeda.com, The Asian Age, India Today, Business Standard, Economic Times, Hindustan Times, Deccan Chronicle, Sportstar and The Week. He has also worked as a commentator and analyst for the BBC, ESPN, ZEE Sports, Star Sports, Ten Sports, Doordarshan, All- India Radio, NDTV, CNN-IBN and WION. He is the author of Barefoot to Boots: The Many Lives of Indian Football (Penguin Random House India), published in 2017.
