Brittany is just beginning her freshman year at Westview Community College. She has it all, a tight-knit group of friends, parents that love her and looks that kill. When she arrives at school one day, she checks her mailbox to find a beautiful envelope sealed with wax and, when she opens it, she finds an invitation to a dinner party for the same night. The party is being hosted by Westview's wealthiest resident, Carl Cummings, who she doesn't know.
He claims that along with the dinner party there will be a game that will award the winner "riches beyond his or her wildest dreams." Despite her instincts, she decides to attend the dinner party when she finds out that several of her friends and a few acquaintances also received invitations. When the group arrives at the mansion, everything seems pretty normal; they're served a wonderful meal complete with everything that makes a Thanksgiving dinner, but things take a turn for the worst when Mr.
Cummings announces the start of game. The group quickly realizes that they will spend the remainder of the evening fighting for their lives. The winner of the game must stay alive until morning to receive their payout and each round of the game is timed while each participant makes a decision: play the game or die. Hurry up and complete your task. Mr. Cummings doesn't like to be kept waiting.
