Résumé

Book Three of the Legends of Animarl series Misfits Jessie Saker and John Bowman struggle to achieve the simple needs of food, shelter and clothing in Dyall's Ford, an isolated town reeling from a barrage of cataclysmic natural and supernatural phenomena. The succession of freak weather conditions culminates in The Flashing, blinding atmospheric flares that erase the memory of those they strike. Even more terrifying are the portals to another world that appear to snatch townspeople while unleashing dragon-like, fire-breathing creatures to terrorise the remaining population. The Voice, a cabal formed from the remnants of local government, police and shadowy 'influencers', brutally enforces its version of law and order.
When Jessie and John innocently fall under the radar of the Voice and are threatened by police enforcers the couple must choose whether to accept a doomed future or join the fight for their planet and its people. Erron Adams has worked at everything from farmhand to software engineer. A restless spirit in childhood led him to the secluded cache of occult books in the local library, which in turn kicked off a lifelong interest in the supernatural and psychology.

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Erron Adams

Short Version: Erron Adams has worked in jobs as diverse as farm hand, factory worker, teacher and software engineer. Now a full time writer of The Legends of Animarl fantasy series. Longer Version: For someone who would go on to write at a later age, the house I grew up in was conspicuous for its lack of books. Unlike most authors who seem to have been writing since they were able to hold a pen, I was too busy exploring the bush, fishing, hunting and generally doing foolish and dangerous things, to sit down long enough to write anything even if I had caught the bug. In my turbulent teenage years I discovered poetry, and became fascinated by the way words could work magical transformations in the reader's mind. Around this time I also made efforts to understand my place in the universe.
I haunted bookstores and local libraries, seeking out those semi-banned books about the occult tucked away on lower shelves in the back racks. Attempting to hide them like that only increased their mystery and appeal. As I have grown older my interest in spirituality and our existence as soul has only increased.
