'SO CHARMING, SO SWEET AND SO LOVELY' MARIAN KEYESLeena is too young to feel stuck. Eileen is too old to start over. Maybe it's time for The Switch... Ordered to take a two-month sabbatical after blowing a big presentation at work, Leena escapes to her grandmother Eileen's house for some overdue rest. Newly single and about to turn eighty, Eileen would like a second chance at love. But her tiny Yorkshire village doesn't offer many eligible gentlemen.
So Leena proposes a solution: a two-month swap. Eileen can live in London and look for love, and Leena will look after everything in rural Yorkshire. But with a rabble of unruly OAPs to contend with, as well as the annoyingly perfect - and distractingly handsome - local schoolteacher, Leena learns that switching lives isn't straightforward. Back in London, Eileen is a huge hit with her new neighbours, and with the online dating scene.
But is her perfect match nearer to home than she first thought?PRAISE FOR THE SWITCH'Another life-affirming joy' HEAT'Great holiday read' 5* READER REVIEW'Warm, witty, and a cast of characters I wish I was friends with' LAURA JANE WILLIAMS'Wonderful, funny and so heart-warming!' 5* READER REVIEW'Sparkles with wit, warmth and compassion' GILLIAN McALLISTER'Beth O'Leary has done it again!' 5* READER REVIEW'Heartwarming and uplifting.

Switching life as a remedy
Leena needs a fresh start, Eileen needs a new beginning so Leena will come up with the strangest idea for her and her grandmother, what if they swapped lives? Leena would come down to Eileen's village and take on everything that her grandmother does and Eileen would come up to London and have the adventure she wanted to have before having no choice but to abandon it.
This book was a little gem! I picked it up to get out of my reading slump and it did the work wonderfully! In her second book, which actually was my first read Beth O'Leary explores themes that were brushed on in The Flatshare. She explores family dynamic through three different generations Eileen, her daughter, and her granddaughter Leena, dating after 70, womanhood, friendship of all ages, small-town life versus city life. It was such a delight, full of life, laughter, teary moments, love.
Read it, you will not regret it!
