A peer is a person who is like you in some way or another. People who share the same age, upbringing, and hobbies are said to be "peers" in this context. Peers are a group of individuals who are in your shoes and share your passions. Whether you consider them friends or not, everyone you come into contact with has an influence on your life. Positivity and negativity are both possible outcomes of peer pressure.
Positive peer pressure encourages you to do your best work. When someone you consider a friend or a group member forces you to do something to be accepted, that person is engaging in negative peer pressure. When we hear "peer pressure, " we think of the wrong kind. Many people who succumb to negative peer pressure feel guilty or dissatisfied with themselves for deviating from their principles and views.
