"The Apple Cart" is a satirical play written by George Bernard Shaw, first performed in 1929. It presents a humorous and critical look at politics, power, and the role of monarchy in society. The central conflict arises when King Magnus decides to marry a commoner, the beautiful and intelligent Orinthia, against the wishes of his advisors. This decision triggers a political crisis, with various factions plotting to undermine the king's authority and maintain the status quo.
