Résumé

Competition law plays an important part in the regulation of the economy. It applies in a significant number of circumstances, for instance: where firms conclude agreements, where they merge or acquire others, where they define their business strategy, where they receive public subsidies ... Although they are European, these rules are directly applicable in the national legal orders. Any good lawyer should ensure that he/she is adequately informed about them. The Code provides a good introduction to that legal field by gathering the major instruments adopted by the European institutions. These instruments have been supplemented with bibliographical notes providing suggestions for further analysis.
