Résumé

" What ? " Said Fred, urgently. "My mum's taking me away on holiday the day after tomorrow", said Jess. Fred's shoulders slumped. He said... nothing. For Fred to be speechless was, perhaps, a first in the history of the world. Jess's mother has the timing of a practiced torturer. The moment that Jess and Fred have become an item and are planning to spend every available minute together, Mum announces that she is taking Jess and Granny (and Grandpa's ashes) on a whirlwind history tour, finishing with a visit to Jess's dad in St Ives. Normally Jess would jump at the idea of a visit to her dad -but why does her mum to chose Now?!

À propos de l'auteur

Biographie de Sue Limb

Sue Limb is a former teenager. She used to teach teenagers, and has even given birth to a teenager (not ready made - it was a long-term project). In writing the Jess Jordan books, Sue is revisiting her teenage years: the sucks stuffed in the bra, the make-up an inch thick to hide forty flashing spots, the hopeless longing for the boy on the bus who never looked at her. Sues daughter Betsy gave her language lessons, replacing `Oh fie! Woe is me!' with `That sucks! So retarded!' Sue and Betsy live in a weird little country cottage with a ghost called Doreen.
