Heart of Metal - The End of All Fear - Grand Format

HEART OF METAL – THE END OF ALL FEAR is a student's account of her evolution throughout the "black decade", a period when Algerian society was ravaged by terrorism. This particularly affected the younger generation since they ended up being left to fend for themselves. The author battles to live her life to the fullest and refuses to concede any of her freedom to exist and pursue her own path. She goes through several extreme phases, trials and periods of doubt.
This wreaks havoc upon her life and the lives of her family, who are a central factor in all the decisions that she makes. Faced with apparently insurmountable difficulties, she ends up achieving her goals. Her true story is told up until late 2011. Beyond her own life, she delivers a description of Algerian society in the 90s, as well as her perception of the French society which she begins to discover in the year 1999.
What drives her, furnishes her energy and serves as her guiding light, so that she never deviates from her path, is Metal – a style of music and a culture which provides her with the fury and continually renewed force she needs to carry out her battles without fail.
