While the problems facing marginalised women have only increased in intensity, white feminists rarely cite food insecurity, education and the fight against racism, ableism and transmisogyny as feminist issues. All too often the focus of mainstream feminism is not on basic survival for the many, but on increasing privilege for the few. Insightful, incendiary and ultimately hopeful, Hood Feminism starts a long overdue conversation about the women left out of feminism, while making a clear-eyed assessment of how to save the movement.
Notes from the Women White Feminists Forgot
A fantastic book well researched and fully fleshed about all the issues such as housing, gun violence, hunger, access to stable jobs which have been forgotten from White Feminists writing over the years.
Her book was incredibly inclusive, fluid, informative as well-written, and well crafted.
I would highly recommend it to everyone.
