I had a dream - Adventures of an Insomniac Physicist

I begin with my physics studies (1956-1966) at the university of Liège (Chap. I). Then I go over to my several postdocs in the USA and in Europe (Chap. II to IV). Then, I explain my career at the university of Namur (Chap. V to XI). This period includes my excursions into molecular biology and aspects of the history of sciences in the 20th century. I describe my links with the Donostia International Physics Center in San Sebastian, Spain where I continued my activities after retiring from the university of Namur in 2002 (Chap.
VII and VIII). In the final chapters (Chap. XII to XIV), I formulate tributes to colleagues and collaborators and I end with an introspection on my lifeline as a professional physicist.
