Christopher de Hamel is Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, and former Librarian of The Parker Library which includes many of the earliest manuscripts in English language and history. Previously, he was in charge of Western Manuscripts at Sotheby's, where he catalogued and handled a vast number of medieval manuscripts. He is the author of Bibles (Bodleian, 2011), and his most recent book is "Meetings with Remarkable Manuscripts" (Allen Lane, 2016).
