Post-harvest losses of perishable horticultural products in the mediterranean region (Cahiers Options méditerranéennes Volume 42)

This document presents the analysis and discussion of current information on advancement of world research activities on the biology and biotechnology in the post-harvest field, the situation relative to post-harvest losses, storage technology, as well as physiology of storage and fruit ripening. It also describes the post-harvest aspects of minor fruit tree species. Extension of their cultivation in ecollogically-sensitive Mediterranean regions can partly provide answers to the request for sustainable agriculture.
