The "Golden City" has always been one of Europe's architectural hubs. Prague's impressive appearance is shaped as much by its varied and exciting history as by the exceptional creativity of outstanding architects working there. This guidebook is a valuable companion through the architectural culture of this complex and fascinating city. Two proven experts, Chris van Uffelen and Markus Golser, guide the reader through all historical architectural eras - from medieval times to the present.
The chronological sequence and high-quality photos clearly reflect the typical characteristics of every era.
