Biographie de Tzachi Matzliach Samocha

Dr. Tzachi Matzliceh Samocha, Consultant, a former Regents Fellow & Professor at Texas A&M AgriLife Research Mariculture laboratory at Flour Bluff, Corpus Christi, Texas, where he conducted shrimp culture trials in raceways and ponds to develop new concepts in intensive nursery and grow-out techniques with no water exchange to include : use of halophyte for aquaculture effluent water remediation and source for oil and plant protein for human and animal consumption, and the use of microalgae for biofuel and production by-products.
He succeeded with transfer of aquaculture technology to commercial producers and industry-related businesses, which is the basis of this work. Dr. Samocha has received 140 research grants, published more than 120 papers in peer-reviewed and popular magazines, and has won over eight awards, including the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station Vice Chancellor's Award in Excellence, the Texas A&M University System, Regents Fellow Service Award, and three times the "Researcher of the Year" award from the Texas Aquaculture Association.
In addition, he presented his basic and applied research findings in more than 400 national and international conferences and workshops.
