Résumé
Jyothi is a child of Bombay's streets, with a faint memory of past happiness: green hills at dawn, a high, light room flooded with music, a boy's candid gaze. Then a charitable Western couple, enchanted by the girl and appalled by her condition, adopt her - whisking her away from the street life. In the West she finds herself an outsider, locked up in a lonely world of her own. But the discovery of her rare musical talent changes everything. Words may never come easily for Jyothi, but music flows from her. She takes the world by storm: the awkward misfit Jyothi becomes the international violinist, the superstar, Jade. It seems that fame can solve all her problems and even win the heart of the man she wants. But even this leaves her unfulfilled. She discovers that the choice must be between stardom and her mots. Only then she will find the love and happiness she longs for: when music becomes the speech of angels.
