Résumé

From acclaimed sommelier Rajat Parr and noted expert Jordan Mackay comes this groundbreaking guide to the iconic wines of Europe. Perfect for anyone who wants to improve their blind tasting skills, gain confidence purchasing and pairing wines, or find a straightforward and visceral way to understand and describe wine, this is a seminal addition to the wine canon. For the first time ever, Parr and Mackay share everything they've learned over decades of tasting wine, including the differences between wines from the seven grand crus and forty premier crus of Chablis, and the terroirs in Barolo and Bordeaux.
The Sommelier's Atlas of Taste helps you understand wine the modern way-by detailing the features of the tastes, vineyards, and production methods of classic Old World wines, appellation by appellation, soil by soil, and technique by technique. Featuring stunning photography of the faces and places behind the wines, the result is the most in-depth study ever published of the world's greatest wine regions.
