Résumé

The Sahara : a dream-like, far away landscape, home to Tuareg, Fulani, Berbers, and other communities whose ways of life stretch back millennia. Award-winning travel writer Nicholas Jubber leads us on a journey of discovery alongside these legendary inhabitants of the desert from the cattle markets of the Atlas, across the Western Sahara and up the Niger River to Timbuktu. The Timbuktu School for Nomads is the story of an adventure to a resilient city, a lesson in how the nomads pit ancient ways of life against the challenges of the twenty-first century and a love letter to the nomadic way of life.
