T. J. Jones has reached his breaking point. At Cutter High School, if you have a letterman's jacket, you can get away with anything. For T. J. Jones, that jacket represents everything that is screwed up with his school. That's why he is determined to have the Cutter All Night Mermen—the unlikeliest swim team ever—earn letter jackets of their own. It won't be easy—they don't have a pool, they can't swim, and everyone is out to stop them—but with determination, friendship, and a lot of luck, they might just be able to pull off a miracle.
